Dr. Olufemi A. Omitaomu

Femi Omitaomu is a Senior Research Scientist and Team Lead within the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He is also a Joint ORNL-UT Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Tennessee. His areas of research expertise include modeling and analysis of solar energy potential, energy infrastructure monitoring and optimization, predictive analytics and data mining, and energy geoinformatics. His B.S. and M.S. degrees are in Mechanical Engineering and his Ph.D. degree is in Information Engineering.

Dr. Omitaomu is a professional member of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
