Nicole Peterson

Ms. Nicole L. Peterson

Nicole Peterson is a Research Assistant at the University of Washington Integrated Design Lab (UW IDL). She brings an analytical perspective to the lab, and utilizes this in the development of in-house analysis tools and research workflows. She is a recent graduate from the University of Washington’s Master of Science in Architecture-Design Computing program. During her graduate studies, her primary focus was in computational lighting design, particularly annual daylight and glare metrics. Prior to pursuing her graduate studies, she worked at Atelier Ten, where she developed expertise in building envelope analysis and façade optimization and supported a large range of projects from environmental design, energy analysis, daylight, and benchmarking. She has Bachelor’s degrees from Penn State in Mechanical Engineering, Spanish, and International Studies.
